This stunning Malvern Residence in Adelaide is a perfect representation of a bespoke design by responding to the unique circumstances of the project. Whilst preserving the original building and Jacobean style, Proske Architects designed an extension that complements the residence’s heritage, creating a respectful dialogue between the classic and contemporary aspects of this building.

LIGHTING:

With a glazed walkway separating the addition from the main building, Proske Architect’s contemporary addition to this Malvern Residence sees the use of raw finished materials such as concrete structural walls and floating timber details. Vast expanses of floor to ceiling windows along with the open-plan, the interconnected nature of the space allows natural light to penetrate the building. The lighting selected for Malvern Residence complements the style of the extension, with minimal and sleek fixtures featured throughout. The pure geometric forms of the lighting fixtures with their ultra-modern lines and curves complement the contemporary aesthetic, while their matt black finish ties in with the industrial material palette of concrete, steel and timber.
